Horsing Around - 2007 Summer Camp
the Official Camp Flyer
A unique week long horse camp
experience for able bodied beginner, advanced beginners
and special needs riders on our 11 acre horse farm.
Our camp program serves riders with mild to
moderate physical and
cognitive challenges who might also have difficulty with
communication and social skills.
The program was
developed and is under the direction of a Pediatric
Occupational Therapist and instructors are NARHA
certified riding instructors.
We strive to help our campers bolster their self confidence
and independence, strengthen their bodies, practice
appropriate social skills…and have fun! We do this by
offering a variety of enriching summer activities that
challenge campers in an environment of adventure and
unconditional acceptance.
Horsing Around is operated by Riding High Farm,
incorporated in 1979 as a non-profit special needs horseback
riding program. RHF is a premiere accredited therapeutic
horseback riding center with the North American Riding for
the Handicapped Association (NARHA). Our goal is to enhance
the lives of program participants by building healthy
emotional bonds between riders and the uniquely trained
horses that work with them. RHF is a tax exempt 501(c) 3
organization.
