Volunteer Information

Whatever your interests, whatever your skills,

we have a place for you!

Volunteers are vital to achieving helping us achieve our goals at Riding High Farm.  It is through their dedication and hard work that we are able to bring the benefits of therapeutic riding and equine activities to a broad range of individuals in our community.

You don't have to know a lot about horses to be a volunteer at Riding High Farm.   In addition to working directly with horses, there are a number of other ways to assist. Perhaps one of these volunteer opportunities would be of interest to you. Training is provided, of course!

  • Program volunteers: help grooming and saddling horses before a lesson, leading or side-walking horses during a lesson, offering the rider encouragement and a helping hand during the lesson. and help putting the horses up at the end of a lesson.   (Training is provided for program related activities).

  • Barn volunteers: feed and groom horses, exercising horses, Cleaning tack, tacking up horses, etc.

  • Administrative volunteers: financial, word processing, data entry, bulk mailings, newsletter, grant writing and other tasks.

  • Maintenance volunteers: maintaining fences, repairs around the barn, planting and grounds maintenance, plumbing, electrical, etc.

  • Fund raising event volunteers: help with our annual fund raisers including community activities and our annual Friends and Family Day.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Riding High Farm.

Come join us.

Lend a helping hand to others!
